What is e-Select?
Specifically designed for institutions with small print journal collections, Elsevier's Science Direct e-Select enables academic and government organisations who do not already subscribe to Elsevier's Science Direct programme, to order individual online-title access to more than 1,300 Elsevier titles.
An e-Select license includes a 1-year subscription to your selection of titles and gives you access to the full text of issues back to 1995.

Advantages of e-Select
An e-Select license offers you:
- Access to article online before the print journal issue date
- Online access to the full text of over 10 years of back issues for the titles you select, plus the content of the current year
- Free access to millions of abstracts and table of contents from the entire Science Direct journals database
- Password-protected online access to subscribed journals for up to 5 users
- Basic and advanced search options to get straight to the content you need
- Linking options that allow you to cross-reference material quickly and easily
- Search and issue alerts that notify you of the new articles and journal issues as they appear

License and Access
The ScienceDirect e-Select license is a calendar year license, starting on 1 January and ending on 31 December of each year, which provides access to the full text articles of the journals selected for purchase, plus:
- abstracts of all articles available on ScienceDirect
- access to abstracts from references in the full text of the articles (where available)
Access is provided by username and password. You will receive up to 5 user and password combinations to ensure that you and your institution have simultaneous access anywhere, anytime.
With the username and password you can also set up email alerts to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in your field.
No archival rights are granted after termination of the license.

E-Select covers more than 1,300 titles within the fields of science, medicine, technology and social siences. Download the full list to see what is available.
The E-Select subscription price is identical to the regular institutional print price of the journal.

Orders / Renewals
Please check if your institution is eligible for e-Select.
Orders: To place your order, please contact Christina Rupf and copy the selected titles from the title list.
Please provide
- your name
- full name and address of your institution
- email address
- phone number.
Access will be granted shortly after Elsevier has received our payment and your signed license agreement. You will receive an email from Elsevier containing the username and password that will grant you access to ScienceDirect.
Renewals: You will receive a notification three months prior to the expiration date. Simply confirm renewal or termination by returning a copy of the notification with your comments.

Payment
You will receive one invoice from us in the usual currency covering all selected titles. All Karger Libri invoicing terms will apply as usual.
Methods of payment: You can settle our invoices by bank or post transfer or by cheque.
